Stanley E. Riemenschneider, 74, of rural Woolstock,, died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at his home following a sudden illness. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 13,2005, at the Foster Chapel with the Rev. Howard Hunt officiating. Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery.

Stanley Earl Riemenschneider was born October 10, 1930, at State Center. He was raised and educated at State Center, graduating in 1948. On November 5, 1949, he married Letabelle Garretson at State Center. The couple farmed at State Center. In 1957, the family moved to a farm northwest of Woolstock. He also had raised miniature horses since the mid 1980s. He was a member of the Woolstock Farmers Cooperative, the Woolstock Mutual Telephone Board; several horse organizations; past-president of the Eagle Grove Community School Board, and the Wright County Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife, Belle; daughters Cathy Vanderheiden, of Eagle Grove; Vicky Hahne, of Webster City; a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Holly Riemenschneider, of Webster City; and grandchildren Stefanie Deibler of Webster City; Mark Riemenschneider of Des Moines; Kelly and Andy Midtling, of Boone; Jason Hahne, of Webster City; and great-grandchildren, Jordin Smith and Harley Wood. He was preceded in death by his parents. The Foster Funeral Home in Webster City was in charge of the arrangements.
