26 March 1908 --- 30 April 1969

Leo J. Mersch, 61, died Wedneday morning in Mercy Hospital, where he had been a patient for one week.

Funeral services will be at 10 a. m. Friday in Sacred Heart Church with burial in Calvary cemetery. Rev. J. J. Brickley will officiate. The Rosary will be recited at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral home Thursday night at 7:30.

Mr. Mersch is survived by his father John P. Mersch, a resident of the Rotary Ann Home; five
brothers, Matt and Nick of Eagle Grove; Edward of Hardy; Joseph of Des Moines; John of Gilmore
City; and two sisters, Mrs. Edward Kemna of Ottosen and Mrs. Paul Anderson of Eagle Grove.

Mr. Mersch was born in West Bend, and came here with his parents to their farm south east of
Eagle Grove in 1936. He farmed since then until two years when he became ill. He has been a patient at the Humboldt Care Center until one week ago when he had a stroke and moved to a hospital.
