FALL FROM TREE FATAL TO LEO BEIREIS
Meets Tragic Death When Falling Tree Limb Hits Branch on Which He is Leaning.

Leo Beireis, 19, was fatally injured Friday afternoon when he fell from a tree he was trimming
in front of the James Keleher residence on Northwest 4th street. Young Beireis was trimming the tree and when the limb he was sawing broke off, it crashed down onto the limb on which he was
leaning, breaking it off and Beireis dropped 25 feet to his death on the solid ground below. He lit squarely on his head, fracturing the skull.

Funeral services were held at the home on North Iowa Avenue Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the
Goldfield cemetery.

Young Beireis was born and raised in Eagle Grove, attended the local high school and was always regarded as a steady, reliable and industrious young man. The sincerest sympathy of everybody is extended the parents and other relatives who were so suddenly plunged into grief. The following obituary was prepared and read at the funeral services by the Rev. James Overby of the Baptist
church:
