Services Friday For Mrs. Alfred Pehl

Funeral services for Mrs. Alfred Pehl, 54, who died at Mercy hospital Mason City, Tuesday, Oct. 8 after a 10 day illness, will be held at the United Presbyterian church Friday, Oct. 11, at 2:30 p. m. The Rev. Leslie Williams of Goldfield and the Rev. Wm. A. Muir of Pitzer will be in charge.

She is survived by her husband and three children, Mrs. Julius Jacobsen, Goldfield, Mrs. James Jergensen, Clarion, and Alfred Pehl, Jr., Clarion. Also surviving are four sisters and three brothers, Frank, Valley Springs, N. D., Winton of Britt and Ralph of Clarion, Mrs. Roy Smith, Page, N. D., Mrs. Walter Cleveland, Gilmore City, Mrs. Asa Reichter, Eagle Grove, Mrs. Edith Sebert, Clarion and six grandchildren.

The Eyler funeral home is in charge of arrangements and burial will be in Clarion Evergreen cemetery.

Obituary

MRS. ALFRED PEHL

Florence Pletcher Pehl, daughter of Daniel and Saloma Pletcher was born May 2, 1892 on a farm in Troy township, and passed away at the Mercy hospital in Mason City, October 8, 1946 at the age of 54 years, 5 months
and 6 days.

Mrs. Pehl was educated in the country schools. On February 23, 1909 she was united in marriage to Alfred Pehl of Goldfield.

They made their home near Renwick and later moved to their farm in Lake township, where they resided until spring 1944, when they retired and moved to Clarion.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three children, Mrs. Julius Jacobsen of Goldfield, Mrs. James Jergensen of Clarion, and Alfred Pehl Jr. of Clarion, six grandchildren: Robert and Patricia Jacobsen, Janice and Connie Jergensen, and Deloris and Diane Pehl; three brothers: Frank Pletcher of Valley Springs, S. D, Winton Pletcher of Britt, and Ralph Pletcher of Clarion; four sisters: Edith Sebert of Clarion, Annie Smith of Page, N. D., May Cleveland of Gilmore City, and Edna Reichter of Eagle Grove.

Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death: George, William, Oliver, Ottie and Maggie.

Mrs. Pehl was a kind loving wife and mother. She loved her home and children. She found great pleasure in doing for her children and others. She loved her Savior and was active in the church affairs.
