Conduct Services For Mrs. John Pehl Saturday Afternoon

Funeral services for Mrs. John Pehl were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church in Goldfield. Rev. R. R. Kessinger of LuVerne was in charge of the service. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery.

Mrs. Pehl died Thursday morning in the Mercy hospital, Fort Dodge, where she had been a patient since Oct. 14, after suffering a stroke.

She is survived by her husband; 3 daughters, Mrs. Doris Hoffman [Hofmann] of Webster City, Mrs. Grace DeMots of Goldfield and Mrs. Ruth Buhman of Waverly; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 4 sisters, Mrs. Daisy Rasmussen and Mrs. John McCutcheon of Goldfield, Mrs. Flora Slakieu [Slaikeu] of Calif, and Mrs. Roy Whyman of Ganado, Tex. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 sisters.

Obituary

Mary Myrtle Pehl was born Sept. 2 [29], 1887. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. George Helmer. She graduated from Goldfield high school in 1906. Early in life she became a member of the Methodist church.

She and John W. Pehl were married Dec. 20, 1909. Blessed to them were 3 daughters, Mrs. Doris Mae Hofmann, Mrs. Grace Louise DeMots and Mrs. Ruth Buhman. They had 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
