GOLDFIELD - Harold W. Haviland, 94, died Monday (April 23, 2001) at U.S.A. Care Center, Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, with the Rev. Paul Stone officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. The family will be present. Willim Funeral Home.

Harold W. Haviland was born on November 26, 1906, in Humboldt County, Iowa, to David A. and Fannie Almyra Parsons Haviland. He attended rural schools in Humboldt County and then attended Humboldt High School. He was united in marriage to Pearl Burnice Lehman on March 15, 1931, at Blue Earth, Minn. They lived in Bode, Iowa, Ladysmith, Wis., and Livermore, Iowa, before moving to their home in rural Goldfield, Iowa. He worked as the owner and operator of Renwick Welding.

Harold W. Haviland died Monday, April 23, 2001, at the U.S.A. Health Care Center in Clarion, Iowa, at the age of 94. He is survived by his children: JoAnn Kinseth, and husband, Burt, Longmont, Colo., James Haviland, and wife, Carolyn, Waverly, Iowa, and Patricia Davison and husband, Gary, Clear Lake, Iowa, seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Haviland, Almond, Wis.; one sister, Kate Bergeson, Terril, Iowa; a special niece, Susan Erickson, Eagle Grove, Iowa; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pearl, on June 26, 1988; three brothers, Donald, Daniel, and Charlie Haviland; and one sister, Elizabeth Crouse.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with Reverend Pau Stone officiating. Burial was held in Glenwood Cemetery in Goldfield. Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
