April 30, 1859 --- April 19, 1950

Caroline Rasmussen Pehl was born in Denmark April 30, 1859 and departed this life at a hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa, April 19, 1950, having attained the age of 90 years, 11 months and 20 days. She came to this country in 1878, settling near Goldfield.

April 30, 1881 she was untied in marriage to George Pehl who passed away in 1930. To this union three children were born, one daughter and two sons. One son George Jr. passed away years ago. She was confirmed into the Lutheran Faith where she was constant until claimed by death.

She was known by many and all who knew her loved her.

She is survived by two children, one daughter, Laura, now Mrs. N. H. Veldhouse of Corwith, one son, John Pehl, of this community, also 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Funeral was held in the Baptist church of Goldfield and interment in the Greenwood cemetery, conducted by Rev. M. L. Christensen, interim minister of the Baptist church.

Mrs. Caroline Pehl Dies Wednesday

Funeral services tor Caroline R. Pehl were held in the Baptist church conducted by Rev. M. L. Christensen. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery.

She is survived by two children. One daughter, Laura now Mrs. N. H. Veldhouse of Corwith, one son, John Pehl of this community; also eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a large number of other relatives.

Goodell – Mr and Mrs. Paul Veldhouse and Virginia went to Goldfield to attend the funeral of Paul’s grandmother, Mrs. George Pehl, age 90 years.
