Virgil Paskin funeral Monday

Funeral services for Virgil Paskin were held Monday morning at the Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. The Rev. Dr. Geo. Den Hartog officiated and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Mr. Paskin is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John Renteria and Mrs. Darlene Quigley, Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Adolph Carlson, Kanawha; Mrs. Lillian Douglas, Clarion; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Obituary

Virgil Paskin, the son of William H. and Anna Dey Paskin, was born June 15, 1902, at Goldfield, Iowa.

He attended the rural school north of Goldfield.

On May 1, 1925 he married Nancy Lucas of Kanawha at Kanawha. They made their home on a farm near Kanawha. She died in 1971. He had been living at the Belmond Nursing Home since June 1976.

He died Saturday, February 26, at the Belmond Hospital at the age of 72 years, eight months and 11 days.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine (Mrs. John) Renteria and Mrs. Darlene Quigley, Des Moines; two sisters, Ruth (Mrs. Adolph) Carlson, Kanawha and Mrs. Lillian Douglas, Clarion; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, William and Robert, three sisters, Jane, Ethel and Susan, and an infant son.

He was a member of the V.F.W.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home. Dr. Geo. W. Den Hartog of the United Methodist Church, Goldfield, officiated and burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
