MINNIE D. HOSSMAN
Mrs. Minnie Dorothea Hossman, the daughter of Thomas and Julia Tollefson Howe, was born on March 14, 1896, at Eagle Grove, Iowa. She grew up and attended school in Eagle Grove. She was married to Roy W. Hossman on March 21, 1921 at Eagle Grove. The couple farmed near Algona for five years and then moved to a farm near Eagle Grove, where they lived and farmed until they retired and moved to Eagle Grove in 1959. Mr. Hossman died in 1964. She was a long-time member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, the church Ladies Circle and the Friendship Club.

She died early Sunday morning, June 26, 1983, at the Clarion Community Hospital in Clarion, at the age of 87 years, three months and 12 days.

She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn, Mrs. B. C. Neilsen of Iowa Falls; Helen, Mrs. Douglas Creamer of Iowa Falls; two sons, Darol Hossman of
Waterloo; Roger Hossman, of Tucson, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a sister, Helma Jaehnel of Minneapolis, Minn.; and
other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter, Mrs. Vivien Betts.

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie D. Hossman, were held on Tuesday, June 28, 1983 at 2 p.m. at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Paul Schaedig, church pastor officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held on Monday at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.
