Emma Josephine Andersen Purkapile

Former resident dies in her Seattle home
Mrs. Emerson Purkapile, formerly of Eagle Grove, died in her Seattle, Wash., home of a heart attack on Friday, Jan. 26.

Emma was born to Mr. and Mrs. Axel Andersen on June 2, 1918 and attended the Eagle Grove schools. She graduated from the Eagle Grove High School in 1936 and was here for her 40th class reunion in 1976. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Beacon Hill Lutheran Church, Seattle. Last June she and her three sisters were able to have a reunion in Seattle.

Surviving are her husband, Emerson and three children, Mrs. Don Horn, Mrs. Larry Harrison, and Ronald Purkapile all of Seattle. Mrs. Mildred Midland and Vera Andersen of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Carroll Helmke of Renwick are her surviving sisters.
