MILDRED METHA ANDERSON [Andersen] MIDLAND
Mildred Metha Anderson [Andersen] was born on February 26, 1911, the daughter of Axel and Anna Josephsen Anderson at Garner. She attended Marshall, Minn, schools and later moved to Eagle Grove in 1920. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1930. She was united in marriage to Hiram Midland on May 18, 1931 at Brookings, S.D. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove. She was a self-employed caregiver and would care for children and elderly in the Eagle Grove area. Mr. Midland died in 1962.

She continued living in Eagle Grove until September of 1988 when she moved to the North Humboldt Care Center in Humboldt. She died there on September 7, 1994 and had attained the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 11 days.

She is survived by two daughters, Roberta Midland and Marlena Midland, both of Humboldt. Also surviving are her sisters Vera Andersen and Olga Helmke of Renwick. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Emma Purkapile. She was a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 10, 1994, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. The Reverend Lyle Peters officiated the 10:30 a.m. service and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
