Stephen Keefe Dies
Mrs. Art Keller received a message Wednesday evening, informing her of the death of her brother, Stephen Keefe at Tulsa, Okla. Mr. Keefe, 39 years of age, was employed by an Oklahoma oil company. He is survived by his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Art Keller of Eagle Grove and Mrs. N. F. Stewart of Lake City, Minn. The remains will be brought to Eagle Grove for burial [Calvary Cemetery].

Keefe Funeral Held Saturday
Funeral services were held Saturday morning from Sacred Heart church for J. Stephen Keefe, whose death was mentioned briefly in last week's Eagle Grove Eagle.

Mr. Keefe died suddenly at his home in Tulsa, Okla., Wednesday evening. He was ill about fifteen minutes with a severe heart attack. Mr. Keefe was a native of Eagle Grove and was a brother of Mrs. Arthur Keller of this city.

Obituary
John Stephen Keefe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Keefe, was born July 7, 1899 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, and died Wednesday, Dec. 21st, at his home in Tulsa, Okla. He had been ill but a few minutes when a sudden heart attack took him in death.

Stephen attended Sacred Heart school and the Eagle Grove high school, and about 16 years ago moved to Tulsa. He was united in marriage to Miss Mattie Duffett of that place on Dec. 31, 1925, in Sapulpa, Okla. He has been employed for the past 16 years with the Texaco Company in the meter service department.

He is survived by his wife and two sisters, Mrs. A. E. Keller of this city and Mrs. N. F. Stewart of Lake City, Minn. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Keefe and two brothers, Thomas and Lester Keefe.

Funeral services were held Saturday, morning at 9 o'clock from Sacred Heart Catholic church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Father Molloy. Burial was in the Keefe family lot in Calvary cemetery.

Out-of-town relatives who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Keefe's sisters Miss Leona Duffett who accompanied her here from Tulsa, Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Stewart and children ... [unreadable] Whitty of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Walton and son, David of Perry.
