Claude Schaeffer Dies in Alabama
Word was received by relatives of the death of Claude Schaeffer, 63, of Eufaula, Ala., Friday at about 11:30 o'clock. Mr. Schaeffer leaves his wife, a daughter and son in Eufala, and his brothers, Theodore, and Verne, of Eagle Grove, Harold of Ft. Dodge, and sisters, Mrs. Grace McVicker and Miss Mable Schaeffer of Eagle Grove. He moved to Eagle Grove when a child from Tama. His father, Chas. Schaeffer, was an engineer on the N. W. railroad and was killed in an accident in 1897. Claude, moved to Alabama with his mother and family that year and engaged in railroad work.

He had been in poor health several years but visited here last summer when he seemed in much better health, so his death came as a shock to his relatives here.
