Funeral Services For Mrs. Nellie Sathre
Mrs. Nellie Sathre, 79, died at the Mann Nursing Home in Cherokee Saturday. Mrs. Sathre is survived by two daughters Mrs. Walter Thomas of Clarion and Mrs. Clarence Larson of Goldfield, two sons Clifford of Madison, Wis., and Selmer of Sioux City, also nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and one brother, Gus Markus of Los Angeles, Calif.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church, with Rev. Kenneth Torvik officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Nellie Sathre, 79, died at Mann Nursing Home, Cherokee, Saturday, July 14, 1962. Funeral services were held at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church, Kenneth R. Torvik, pastor, Monday at 2:00 p. m. Interment was at Rose Hill cemetery.Nellie was born to Gus and Inger Markus, September 25, 1882 at Stavanger, Norway, where she was also baptized and confirmed. At the age of 19 she came to Roland, Iowa. In 1904 she married Hans Sathre and made her home in Eagle Grove. Her husband preceded her in death February 8, 1959. She is survived by two sons Clifford of Madison, Wis., and Selmer of Sioux City, two daughters Olga, Mrs. Walter Thomas of Clarion, and Irene, Mrs. Clarence Larson of Goldfield. Also by nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and one brother Gus Markus of Los Angeles, Calif.

Mother of Local Women DiesFuneral services for Mrs. Nellie Sathre, 79, former resident of Eagle Grove were held at the Evangelical Lutheran Church there Monday at 2 p.m. Mrs. Sathre died Friday at the Mann nursing home at Cherokee, Iowa. Her husband Hans Sathre, preceded her in death in 1959. Surviving are four children, Clifford of Madison, Wisconsin, Selmer of Sioux City, Mrs. Walter Thomas and Mrs. Clarence Larson both of Clarion; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild and one brother.
