EILEEN VELDA LARSON
Eileen Velda Lalor was born on June 29, 1910, on the family farm near Woolstock, Iowa. She received her education in the Eagle Grove School System and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1929. She was employed at Scott's Department Store in Eagle Grove prior to attending American Institute of Business in Des Moines. She was united in marriage to Leo Edwin Larson in 1936 at South Dakota. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and later moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota. She moved to Prior Lake, Minnesota in 1953 where for many years she was employed as a credit manager with the Superior Oil Company. In 1992, she moved to Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove.

Eileen Velda Larson died Sunday, March 31, 1996, at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home at the age of 85 years, 9 months, and 2 days.

Survivors include her son, Douglas E. Larson and wife Kathryn, Prior Lake, Minnesota; sisters, Lillian Stokes of Atlanta, Georgia, and Doris Jensen, Normal, Illinois; and sister-in-law. Dorothy Lalor, Eagle Grove. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers: Kenneth, Donald, and Archie; and a grandson, Gregg Larson.

Funeral services were held graveside on Tuesday, April 2, 1996, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove, with the Reverend H. W. Schiller officiating the 10 a.m. services. Willim Funeral Home, Inc. of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
