1843 --- March 5, 1895

Mr. Hughes, who resided between Goldfield and Holmes, was buried in Rose Hill (Calvary) Cemetery, Friday. The funeral was held in Sacred Heart Church, Father Garland conducting it. Mr. H. was an Old soldier, an excellent husband, father and friend. May his death be but the entrance upon a grader and more beautiful life.
