The entire community was made sad last Tuesday when it became known that John Leslie, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Smith aged, about 18 months, was dead. He was dangerously sick for several days previously, and everything that skill and love, could devise or suggest was used to save the precious life, but the tired little body wasted away gradually, and on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. the spark went out and Leslie is with the angels in the heavenly court. A bright, winning little fellow, how the parents will miss him, and in their sore bereavement they have the profound sympathy of their wide circle of friends. The funeral services were conducted at the family residence, on East Broadway, on Wednesday, at 2 p.m., by Rev. Southwell, the burial following at Rose Hill.
