David Clifford McVicker
22 March 1940 ---- 5 November 1994

David Clifford McVicker was born March 22, 1940, the son of Clifford to and Lyla Voight McVicker, at Iowa City, Iowa. He received his education in the Eagle Grove school system, and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to Myrna Pannoff on July 10, 1960 in Clear Lake. He later married Marilyn Martin of Humboldt on April 24, 1971. He was employed for a short time with the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad in Eagle Grove and was a welder in the trailer repair shop of Ellsworth Freight Lines in Eagle Grove.

He was a resident of the Expo Health Care Center in Fort Dodge. He was taken to Trinity Regional Hospital following a sudden illness where he died on November 5, 1994 at the age of 54 years, 7 months, and 13 days.

He is survived by his sons, David McVicker and wife Kris, Indianola; Martin McVicker and Scott McVicker, both of Eagle Grove; and a daughter, Teresa Benge and husband Jeff, Land O'Lakes, Minn.; and eight grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Rhonda Cox and husband Frank of Ames. He was preceded in death by his mother.

McVicker was a past member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Funeral services for David Clifford McVicker were held on Wednesday, November 9, 1994 at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Officiating the 2 p.m. service was Ray Powell of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints in Otho. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
