Former Eagle Grove Man Dies Jan. 17th

Edward V. Ley, 78, died January 17th, after a prolonged illness at his home in Houston, Tex., where he had made his home for many years. He is survived by four children, Homer, Wendell, Gladys, and Thelma and several grandchildren, also one brother, Harry D. Ley of San Bernadino, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. R. S. Woodard of this city. Mr. Ley was born and raised in Wright County, and attended rural schools in the county, and Cornell College, in Mt. Vernon. He was married to the former Cora Duer, and they lived in Eagle Grove for a short time following their marriage, and then moved to Houston, Tex. where Mr. Ley had since resided.
