Glenn G. Lund funeral Friday

Funeral services for Glenn G. Lund will be held at 2 p.m.

Friday at the Samuel Lutheran Church in charge of Rev. R. T. Mueller of LuVerne. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Lund, 51, died at his home, 403 N.W. 10th Street, following a heart attack.

He was a driver for Chapman Oil Co.

Mr. Lund is survived by his wife, two sons, Guy M. and Gerald; and three daughters, Lori, Annette and Marna.

He is also survived by two grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Lundgren of Fort Dodge; Mrs. Nora Sandgren, New Mexico; Mrs. Alice Johnson, New Richland, Minn, and Mrs. Grace Peterson in Florida.

He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, and was a veteran of World War II.

Obituary

Glenn Gaylord Lund, son of Gabriel and Anna Christensen Lund, was born February 28, 1919 in Badger, Ia. and later attended the schools there.

He enlisted in the National Guard, Company G, at Ft. Dodge, in January 1940 and was activated into the United States Army, February 1941 and served overseas three years during World War II.

On April 7, 1946 he was united in marriage to Marjorie Egemo at Eagle Grove, Iowa and to this union two sons and three daughters were born. They made their home in Badger for seven years before moving to Eagle Grove. At the time of his death he was employed as a driver for the Chapman Oil Company.

He was a member of the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.

Glenn entered into eternal rest, Monday evening, August 24, at his home after suffering a heart attack. He was 51 years, 5 months and 26 days of age at the time of his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and sisters.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Marjorie; five children: Guy of Eagle Grove; Annette of Iowa City; Gerald, Marna and Lori at home; two grandchildren; and four sisters: Mrs. Hattie Lundgren, Ft. Dodge; Mrs. Nora Sandgren, New Mexico; Mrs. Alice Johnson, New Richland, Minn.; and Mrs. Grace Peterson of Florida.

Funeral services were held Friday, 2:00 p.m., August 28, at the Samuel Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove, with Rev. R. T. Mueller of LuVerne, officiating. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery with military rites at graveside by the Clarence Shurtz American Legion Post 304.
