VIOLA "LOLLY" STOCKSETH
Viola "Lolly" Umstead, daughter of Raymond and Katherine (Olson) Umstead was born November 25, 1930 in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She attended Eagle Grove School, graduating in 1949, and worked for Dillard and Mitchell Cleaners. She was united in marriage to Arthur Stockseth on June 17, 1950, and they have lived on a farm west of Belmond. She had worked at the Belmond Healthcare Center, was a meter reader for REC for 16 years, a member of Country Chorus, and Historical Society. She also served as a caregiver in the "Life After Loss" group, which cared for people after the death of a loved one. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, LCW and was a past president of St. Olaf Parish.

Viola "Lolly" Stockseth died on Saturday, February 11, 1995 at the Belmond Community Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur of Belmond; daughter, Kathy and husband, Tom Bonjour, Forest City; son, Raymond Stockseth and wife Betty, Belmond; three grandchildren; sister, Lucille and husband O. E. Smith, Dunn Loring, Va.; sister-in-law, Elvira Umstead, Eagle Grove; two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Marvin and Melvin.

Services for Viola "Lolly" Stockseth were held on Tuesday, February 14, 1995 at 2 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Belmond, Iowa, with Reverend Lowell Halvorson officiating. Burial was in St. Olaf Cemetery, Belmond. Tenold Funeral Home in Belmond was in charge of arrangements.
