ANNA (MILLS) ANDERSON
Anna Ellen Anderson was born on Feb. 26, 1923 near Renwick to Clyde Mills and Lena Schneider Mills. She was baptized in the Christian faith at Evangelical Church in Renwick and was confirmed there also. She attended school in Renwick and graduated from Renwick High School. Anna was united in marriage with Marvin Anderson on Sept. 2, 1948. They made their home in Fort Dodge until moving to Renwick in 1949. Anna and her husband operated the Anderson Sundries drug store together for 10 years. Anna served for 20 years in the United States Postal Service as a clerk and postmaster.

Anna is survived by two sons, James of Widefield, Colo. and David of Wall Lake. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, and two brothers, George Mills of Renwick and Ray Mills of Renwick. Anna was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Anna was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, an active attender of the First Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Anna died in Fort Dodge on Sept. 13, 1984 after a sudden illness. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 17, at Renwick Baptist Church. Burial was in Swiss Cemetery near Renwick.
