31 December 1918 ---- 13 February 1964

MRS. LEVA G. BAKER
Leva G. Baker, twin daughter of Albert and Anna Gay Lamfers, died suddenly at her home in Yucca Valley, Calif., on Feb. 13. She was born at Eagle Grove, Iowa, Dec. 31, 1918, and died at the age of 45 years, one month and 13 days.

When she was a young girl, she united with the Church of Christ in Webster City. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City with the class of 1937. She was united in marriage to Edward C. Peterson and to this union two children were born: Mrs. Wayne (Marlene Gay) Jones of Port Mugu, Calif., and James Hall Peterson, stationed at Fort Polk, La. She was later married to John W. Baker of Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Baker had been employed as payroll clerk with the Kroheler Mfg. Co. in Inglewood, Calif., for some time before her death.

Besides her children, she is survived by one grandson, Brian Keith Jones; her mother; four brothers and one sister; Wayne Lamfers, Mt. Clair, Calif.; Frank Lamfers, Hayward, Calif., Russell Lamfers, Livermore, Calif., Paul Lamfers, San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Dean (Anna Jane) Dyvig of St. Louis, Mo.; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and a twin sister, Neva B. Lamfers, who died when one year old.

Funeral services were held at the Hughes Mortuary in Loma Linda, Calif., on Feb. 17. Her body was cremated and buried with her twin sister at Rose Hill cemetery at Eagle Grove.
