Detta Labus, 87, of the 500 block of North Pleasant Boulevard in Pleasant Hill died of a heart ailment Saturday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Mrs. Labus was born in Goldfield and had lived in Des Moines most of her life before moving to Pleasant Hill eight months ago. She had worked as a hostess for Holiday Inn and Younkers Tea Room before retiring. She is survived by three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
