Burial rites for Mrs. Jake Lamfers of Webster City will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at Rose Hill Cemetery, following the funeral services at 1 p.m. in the Asbury Methodist Church, Webster City. The Rev. S. W. Cunningham pastor of the church will have charge. Mrs. Lamfers, 63, died Monday at the Hamilton County Hospital, Webster City, following a long illness.She is survived by her husband, three daughters and three sons: Mrs. George Currier, Redondo Beach, Calif.; Jake Lamfers Jr., Long Beach, Calif.; G. Harold, Salina, Kan.; Mrs. Kenneth Maude, Albuquerque, N. M.; Raymond E., Hays, Kan.; Mrs. Thomas Dunton, Webster City; 12 grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Andrew Konja, Gary, Ind.
Ethel Edith Schaetzel was born in Peru, Ind. and attended school in Terre Haute, Ind. and Wimbledon, N. D. In 1924 she married Jake Lamfers and they lived in Wimbledon, moving later to Eagle Grove. In 1950 they moved to Webster City.

Mrs. Jake (Ethel) Lamfers, 63, a longtime resident of Webster City, died Monday morning at the Hamilton County hospital. She had been in ill health the past two years. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Asbury United Methodist church with the Rev. S.W. Cunningham officiating and with burial at the Rose Hill cemetery in Eagle Grove. The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Thursday when it will be taken to the church.Ethel Edith Schaetzel, daughter of Herbert H. and Sadie Treager Schaetzel, was born Jan. 6, 1909 at Peru, Ind. She was reared and educated at Terre Haute, Ind., and Wimbledon, N.D. She was united in marriage May 16, 1924 to Jake Lamfers, and the couple made their home at Wimbledon, later moving to Eagle Grove. They had resided in Webster City since 1950. Mrs. Lamfers was employed for several years at Morton's Frozen Foods plant.
She is survived by her husband; three sons and three daughters, Jake Lamfers, Jr., Long Beach, Calif., G. Harold Lamfers of Salina, Kan., Raymond E. Lamfers of Hays, Kan., Mrs. George (Eunice) Currier of Redondo Beach, Calif., Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Maude of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Thomas (Patricia) Dunton of Webster City; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Andrew (Mildred) Konja of Gary, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist church.

Lamfers rites held Thursday
Funeral services for Mrs. Jake (Ethel) Lamfers, 63, were held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Asbury United Methodist church with the Rev. S. Willard Cunningham officiating and with burial in the Rose Hill cemetery at Eagle Grove. Mrs. Harvey Morter was organist for the services, with Ivan Hutson as vocal soloist. Pallbearers were Ben Lamfers, Jeffrey Lamfers, Marion Lamfers, John Elm, Laverne Monson, and Raymond Solberg.
