Leslie Kvale funeral Monday
Funeral services for Leslie A. Kvale, 56, were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Holmes Lutheran Church. Rev. Orville Sanderson officiated and burial was in the Holmes Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Kvale died Friday at his home. He had been ill since December of last year.
He is survived by his wife, one son Dean of Radcliffe; four daughters: Mrs. Cadmus Goss, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Marlen Lund, Mrs. James W. Nelson, Goldfield; Mrs. Donald Crossely, Forest City; 17 grandchildren.
Other survivors are his mother, Mrs. Helmick Kvale of Eagle Grove; one sister, Mrs. Andrew Johnson of Wells, Minn.; three brothers: Harold of Thor, Kenneth of Eagle Grove and Norman of Goodell.
Obituary
Leslie Arthur Kvale, the son of Helmick and Olena Olson Kvale, was born September 24, 1920 near Goldfield, Iowa.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Holmes Lutheran Church. He attended the country school southeast of Goldfield.
On November 27, 1940 he married Lucile Knight of Goldfield by Rev. Fauske in the Samuel Lutheran Church parsonage at Eagle Grove. He farmed in the Goldfield area until 1960, then he was a building contractor until he became ill in December of 1976.
Leslie died Friday, June 3, at his home at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 9 days.
Survivors include his wife, Lucile; his mother, Olena Kvale, Eagle Grove; one son, Dean Kvale, Radcliffe; four daughters: Terrie (Mrs. Cadmus) Goss, Kansas City, Mo.; Karen (Mrs. Marlen) Lund, Goldfield; Patricia (Mrs. Donald) Crossely, Forest City; Jo Ann (Mrs. James W.) Nelson, Goldfield; three brothers: Harold Kvale, Thor; Kenneth Kvale, Eagle Grove; Norman Kvale, Goodell; a sister, Clarise (Mrs. Andrew) Johnson, Wells, Minn. and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Helmick.
He was a member of the Holmes Lutheran Church, the Goldfield Businessmen and the Goldfield Lions Club.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 6, 1977 at 1:30 p.m. at the Holmes Lutheran Church. Rev. Orville Sanderson officiated and burial was in the Holmes Lutheran cemetery.
