DeAnne K. Nichols was born on February 25, 1971, at Iowa City, Iowa, to Susan Nichols. She was raised and lived in the Eagle Grovearea all her life. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1989. On March 18, 1989, she was united in marriage to Daniel E. Johnson at the Little Brown Church.

DeAnne K. Johnson, 25, died Saturday, July 20, 1996, at the junction of 300th Street and Keokuk Avenue from injuries resulting from a car accident.

Survivors include her two daughters, Amber, age 6, and Alicia, age 5; her mother, Susan Nichols, Eagle Grove; a half-sister, Angela (Mrs. Scott) Spangler, Badger; grandfather, Dean Nichols, Vincent; grandmother, Theresa Nichols, Fort Dodge; and a great grandmother, Gladys Nichols, Fort Dodge.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 23, 1996, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove with the Reverend Wayne Droessler and the Reverend Carlton Shaw officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery near Woolstock, Iowa. Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
