Brandon T. Tweeten was born on February 4, 1985, at Clarion, Iowa, to Lon A. and Darla A.(Marker) Tweeten. He attended Eagle Grove Schools and was in the 6th grade. He was active in the 4-H Club with the Troy Toppers. He was also very active in the church with Sunday School and Bible School and enjoyed singing with the choir. He loved to work on the farm with his grandpa and his dad and liked to tear things apart to see how they were put together. He loved the livestock and the animals. He also enjoyed drawing and building models. He was baptized at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church where he was a member.
Brandon T. Tweeten, 11, of Woolstock, Iowa, died on Saturday, July 20, 1996, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion from injuries resulting from a car accident near Woolstock.
Survivors include his parents, Lon A. and Darla A. Tweeten, Woolstock; two brothers, Chad, 16, and Corey, 4; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arden (Jolaine) Tweeten, Woolstock, and Beverly Marker, Woolstock; great grandparents, Oscar and Olga Jordahl, Forest City, and Winnifred Marker, Eagle Grove; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Darwin Marker.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 24, 1996, at 1 p.m. at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Lyle E. Peters officiating. Burial was in the French Cemetery near Woolstock, Iowa. Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
