Death Calls Again

Andrew Langland [Langeland] Dies at Home on East Side

Andrew Langland answered the call of Death at 9 o’clock Wednesday evening, after an illness extending over several weeks. The cause of his death was due to typhoid fever. Mr. Langland was a prominent resident of the East Side and his death comes as a great shock not only to the family but to his many friends. The deceased was about forty-three years of age, being a comparative young man. He leaves a family of eight children.

At the time of going to press the funeral arrangements had not been completed

Death of Andrew Langland [Langeland]

Andrew Langland died at his home on Montgomery street last week Wednesday after taking his bed but a few days. He was with a company of Northwestern workmen away from home and was sick before giving up work. He died of typhoid fever. One of his children had recently recovered from this disease. Mr. Langland was 43 years of age. He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn his death.

The funeral was held in the Wright street Lutheran church, Friday afternoon, Rev. O. R. Sletten conducting the ceremony. The burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

The death of this husband and father is a particularly sad one, as the family was dependent entirely on his earnings for support. The sympathy of all is extended to them in their great affliction.
