JORGENSEN, Gertie, 99, died September 28, 1977. Survived by two daughters, Sylvia Newcomb and Carolyn Brauman, both of Tucson; three sons. Clarence, of Glenview, Ill., Harold, of Monterey Park, Calif., and Roy, of Warrensburg, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; also by two sisters in Iowa.

Services 10 a.m. Saturday at Arizona Mortuary Downtown Chapel, with Pastor James Schimota of Spanish Trail Lutheran Church officiating. Interment TMP, South Lawn.

Gertie Jorgensen dies in Tucson, Ariz.

Word has been received in Eagle Grove of the death of a former resident, Mrs. Gertie Jorgensen, at Tucson, Ariz.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1, in Tucson, with burial there also. At the time of her death she was 99 years, 4 months and 3 days of age. She is survived by three sons: Clarence of Chicago, Ill.; Harold of Monterey Park, Calif.; Roy of Warrensburg, Mo.; two daughters: Mrs. Sylvia Newcomb and Mrs. Caroline Brauman both of Tucson, Ariz. Also, surviving are eight grandchildren several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Adele Stryker and Mrs. Holger Christensen of Eagle Grove, and nieces and nephews.

Obituary

Gertie Jorgensen, 99, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, Ariz. Sept. 28.

Funeral services were held Oct. 1 and burial was in South Memorial cemetery.

Gertie Hansen Jorgensen was born in Langland, Denmark May 25, 1878. She came to America when she was six years old and lived in Iowa until 1960 when she moved to Arizona.

She was married to John Jorgensen Feb. 22, 1899.

Mrs. Jorgensen is survived by daughters: Sylvia Newcomb and Caroline Brauman of Tucson and sons: Clarence of Glenview, Ill.; Harold of Monterey Park, Calif.; Roy of Warrensburg, Mo.; and two sisters: Adel Stryker and Mrs. Holger Christensen both in Eagle Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband, John N. Jorgensen; two daughters: Viola and Wilma; and a son, Marvin.
