Mrs. John Labus Rites This Morning
Mrs. John Labus, 63, died suddenly New Year's day at the home of her son Louis Labus, in Des Moines. Mrs. Labus, and other relatives had attended a family dinner in her son's home and they were all preparing to come home when Mrs. Labus was stricken with a sudden heart attack at 4:15 p.m. and died almost instantly. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, Jan. 5th at 9:30 in Sacred Heart church. Rev. James Slowey will officiate and burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

Mrs. Labus was born in Hungary, and came to the United States when a young girl. She was married to John Labus in 1905 at Toledo, Ohio, and their children were born there. They moved to Eagle Grove in 1920. She is survived by her husband, and three children, Louis of Des Moines, Mrs. Clyde Pohlman and Mrs. Bernie Nervig of this city, also seven grandchildren. Three sons preceded her in death.
