Last Rites here today For Former Resident
Last rites for Mrs. John Larsen, a former Eagle Grove resident, will be held this afternoon at 1:30 in the Evangelical Lutheran church. Pastor K. R. Torvik will officiate and burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Larsen died Monday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Nels Quam in Minneapolis, Minn. In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Larsen is survived by one son, Lawrence of Marion, Ohio and four grandchildren.

Obituary
Mrs. Sophie Olsen Larsen was born June 17, 1877 to Mr. and Mrs. Hans Olsen at Trondheim, Norway. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. E. Quam, Minneapolis Monday, June 13, 1955, just five days before her 78th birthday.

She came to this country at the age of five and lived in Brooklyn, N. Y., for 30 years. Here she married John Larsen in 1899 [April 22]. They lived in or near Eagle Grove for 28 years. In recent years they made their home with a daughter, Mrs. N. E. Quam of Minneapolis. Mr. Larsen died January 16, 1953, with funeral services and interment at Eagle Grove.

Surviving are a daughter, Thora, Mrs. N. E. Quam and a son, Lawrence N. Larsen of Marion, Ohio, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 16 at 1:30 at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church. Kenneth R. Torvik, Pastor, with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
