OBITUARY OF ELLEN CHRISTENSEN

Ellen Christensen, 16 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Chrlstensen died at her home in this city Friday morning, Dec. 18, 1914, after about a year's hopeless struggle with the ravages of tuberculosis. She was injured in a train wreck while enroute to a sanitarium in St. Paul last March and this injury hurried the progress of the disease. She went to Chicago last August in hopes a change would be beneficial but to no avail.

Ellen Louise Christensen was born in in Jewell Junction, Iowa on the 23rd of September, 1898. She as confirmed in the United Lutheran church March 16, 1913. She was a patient, uncomplaining sufferer calmly awaited the end, with a firm belief in the life that was to come. Her parents and relatives have the sympathy of the community in their great affliction more tender because this is the third death in this family in the past five months, Clarence and Eva having but recently been taken by a form of meningitis.

The funeral exercises were held at the home Sunday at 2:30 and at the church at 3 o'clock. The burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. The pall bearers were Magnus Gunderson, Orville Uhr, Helmer Bjelland, Carroll Gunderson, Carl Watne and James Arne.
