MARY MAGDALENE BROCK
Mary Magdalene Atalee Conyers was born on October 11, 1927, the daughter of Preston T. and Beulah King Conyers, at Sidney, Ark. She received her education in the Cave City school system. She was united in marriage to Elgin Raymond Brock of Truman, Ark., in 1948, at Harrisburg. She later married Merlin Wells of Goldfield in 1986.

Mary Brock died at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion on September 6, 1990, following a sudden illness, at the age of 62 years, 10 months, and 25 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant grandson, Richard Ray Brock. She is survived by three sons, Franklin Bobby Gene Brock, Queen Creek, Ariz.; Lowell Ray Brock, Mesa, Ariz.; and Little David Brock, Goldfield; one daughter, Mrs. Jeff (Mary Sue) LaFollette of Goldfield; two brothers, Marshall Conyers, and Buddy Conyers, both of Decatur, Ill.; and three sisters, Dell Rogers, Cincinnati, Ohio; Oleene Wright, Kokomo, Ind.; and Lottie Crow of Truman, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on September 10 at the Goldfield United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Seibert officiating. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. The Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
