February 24, 1863 --- January 22, 1931
Paralysis is slowly taking the life of Henry Broeffle [Broffle], 63 [68], of this city. Just as he was entering his home about 10 o'clock Monday evening, he called, "catch me", and fell forward on his face, cutting his face on the door closing as he fell. He has been unconscious since that time. For many years, Mr. Broeffle was employed at the round house and since the reduction in the force there threw him out of work, he has been working with his step-son, Oscar Nelson at the North End Grocery.
