Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Oakcrest Funeral Services with Reverend Mr. William Black presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Algona. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family which they will donate to different charities in Sharon's name.

Sharon Diane Kenne was born on September 7, 1931, in Humboldt, to Dillon and Grace (George) Patton. She received her education in Humboldt, graduating from Humboldt High School in 1949. After her schooling, Sharon worked various office jobs in the Humboldt and Eagle Grove area before she was married.

On June 30, 1962, Sharon was united in marriage to Marvin Kenne in West Bend. The couple lived in Algona, where Sharon worked as a cook at Bishop Garrigan. She was well known by many Bishop Garrigan alumni's as the 'lunch lady.'

Sharon enjoyed reading, crocheting, and puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time and playing card games with her grandchildren.

Sharon died on Monday, July 29, 2019, at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. She was 87.

She is survived by her children, Matt (Karla) Kenne of Algona, Paul (Marcia) Kenne of Algona, Pete (Lisa) Kenne of Ankeny, Ann Kenne of St. Paul, MN, Tom (Deb) Kenne of Algona, Kris (Steve) Cathcart of Gowrie; grandchildren, Erinn (Jim) Garman, Emillie (Ryan) Brandt, Melissa (Justin) Olson, Matthew Metzen, Michael (Courtney) Metzen, Martin (Stacy) Metzen, Mitchell Kenne, Mollie Kenne, Nathaniel (Kasandra) Kenne, Alex (Amanda) Kenne, Nicole Kenne, Brad (Anita) Cathcart, Andy (Mindy) Cathcart; and 16 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her brother-in-law Irvin Kenne and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Marvin; and sister, Colleen Greene.
