The eight grade lost one of its very much appreciated members in the death of Clara Kraft. The entire school feels the loss keenly. Our sympathy goes out to her parent and many friends.

March 26, 1925

Clara Katherine Kraft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kraft, was born near Renwick on the 17th day of July 1911. She was baptized in the name of the Triune God, August 3rd, 1911.

She spent her entire life on the parental farm north of Renwick with the exception of the last two months when she came to town with her parents to reside.

She was a faithful member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Sunday School and of the Confirmation class.

She was a pupil of the eight grade of the local public school.

On Thursday morning, March 19th, she was taken to the Algona hospital where she underwent an operation for acute appendicitis. Everyone wished for her recovery but the Lord willed that Clara should be with us no longer and took her to Himself in Heaven on Tuesday morning, March 24th, at 7:30.

She leaves to mourn: her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kraft, five sisters, Mary, Emma, Anna, Doris and Irma; five brothers, henry, Fred, Arthur, Ernest and George; besides her many friends in the entire community.

Her age was 13 years, 8 months and 7 days.

“The maid is not dead, but sleepeth.” Matthew. 9:24.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hamdorf of Aitkin, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. John Holck and son Willie, Mrs. Olaf Gilbertson and Mrs. Peter Holck of Jeffers, Minn., Mrs. John Nagle of Mason City, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holck and Mr. and Mrs. Willie Sillman of Britt and Henry Holck and children of Kanawha.
