Funeral Services Held Saturday For H. M. Larson
Final rites were held Saturday, September 18, from the Chapman Funeral home in Webster City for Horace M. Larson, 77, who died Wednesday morning, September 15 in the Hamilton county hospital. Interment was in the cemetery at Eagle Grove.Horace M. Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Torkel Larson, was born July 22, 1871 at Beloit, Wisc. He came with his parents, when he was three months old, to Grant township where he grew to manhood and lived nearly all his life in this vicinity. He was united in marriage to Anna Humble, June 22, 1920. They made their home on a farm in Grant township and were active members and supporters of the Trinity Lutheran church. In 1944 they sold their farm and moved to Webster City. Mr. Larson had been in poor health for some time and two weeks ago he fell and suffered a broken leg. He is survived by his wife, two sisters, Mrs. John Kenna, Eagle Grove and Mrs. Ira Hunter, Fonda and one brother, Ira Larson of Pocahontas as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Those attending the funeral from this vicinity were Mr. and Mrs. Ira Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Hunter, Mr and Mrs. Earl Hunter, Ralph Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Larson, Misses Helen and Cora Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kirkendahl, Bert Rude, Mr and Mrs. Merlin Storck, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Pearson and Dean and Oscar Johnson.
