Eva Pearl Kimmit [Kimmitt] was born November 26, 1892 in Clarion. She was the daughter of William and Adeline Kimmit [Kimmitt]. Eva moved to Eagle Grove at an early age and attended schools here and became a telephone supervisor in Eagle Grove. She married Dr. Benjamin E. McCulloch, doctor of veterinary medicine, December 18, 1912, at the Methodist Church in Eagle Grove.

Mrs. McCulloch was very active in community affairs of Eagle Grove. She had been district secretary of youth and student affairs for the Methodist Church; past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star; member of Cecilian Music Club; State President of the Iowa Veterinarian Auxiliary; president of the Equality Club; Red Cross chairman; and the resident council chairman for Rotary Ann Home for three years. She had lived there for 11 years.

Eva McCulloch died March 2, 1988 at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, one grandson, Tommy Greenleaf; one brother, Frank; and one sister, Leona Taylors.

She is survived by one son, Dale M. McCulloch, Rancho Cordova, Calif.; three daughters, Mildred Greenleaf, Sandy, Utah, Mary Haight, Cresco; and Margaret Winkleman, Charleston, S. C.; ten grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one sister, Vera Ofstethun of Clarion.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 5, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Scott C. Hall officiated. Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
