Jessie May Clawson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Clawson, was born in Illinois, June 11, 1887, and died at the home of her parents on October 9, 1920, at the age of 33 years, three months and 28 days. Miss Jessie Clawson moved with her parents, three years ago from Illinois to the farm west of Woolstock. She was well-known and much respected in the neighborhood. She taught school a number of terms before moving to Iowa, and taught the Wilcox school for six terms.

August 21, 1919, she was united in marriage to Walter A. McCoy, who with the father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Clawson, a sister, Lena Stanford, of Woolstock, and two brothers, Runa of Eagle Grove, and Frank of Olympia, Wash., remain to mourn her untimely death.

Mrs. McCoy was converted in 1909 and joined the United Brethern church in which since that time she has been a faithful member. Many friends and neighbors join the bereaved in their great sorrow.

Mrs. McCoy, with the infant child, Mary, were buried in the same casket, in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa, Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Carey having charge of the services at the M. E. church.
