Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mae McCarty, 81, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kastler Funeral Home.
Rev. Thomas Hoover had charge of the services and interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McCarty is survived by one sister, Mrs. Frank Wells of Eagle Grove, four nieces and one nephew, Mrs. Betty Wells Briggs and Jack Wells of Des Moines; Mrs. Bernice Sohn of Minneapolis, Minn., Miss Alma Partridge of Mason City and Mrs. Nathalie Sines of Long Beach, Calif.
Mrs. McCarty died Saturday morning at the Clarion hospital. She had been ill for over two years suffering from a heart ailment, and had spent some time in the hospital where she was a patient a short time before her death.
Mrs. McCarty, whose maiden name was Ida Mae Teufel was born in Woolstock and came to Eagle Grove in 1906 to open a dressmaking shop. She worked at this profession until the time of her death, with the exception of a few months two years ago when she was ill.
In 1916 she was married to Walter McCarty, who died in 1919.
Attend Funeral
Out of town friends here to attend the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Benson, Mrs. Hazel Brooks of Clarion; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Clifford and Dale Nebel of Mason City.
