November 30, 1885 --- October 23, 1959

Laura Oliva Folkedahl was born at Badger, Iowa, on Nov. 30, 1885. She was one of 10 children born to Peter and Anna Folkedahl, all of whom preceded her in death. She was baptized in infancy and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran church of Eagle Grove at the age of 14. She later transferred her membership to the United Presbyterian church of Goldfield. She was united in marriage to Thomas J. Lister of Clarion on Dec. 31, 1904. To this union five children were born: Peter, who died in infancy, Herman Eugene, who passed away in 1945 at the age of 38, Beatrice (Mrs. Gilbert Hansen) of Ackley, Bernice (Mrs. Orvel Griffith) of Goldfield and Evelyn at home.

Mrs. Lister passed away at her home in Eagle Grove on Friday, Oct. 23, after a lingering illness, leaving to mourn her death, her husband, Thomas J., three daughters, eight grandchildren and six
great grandchildren.
