Anna Marie Folkedal
8 December 1883 ---- 16 June 1905

Death ended the sufferings of Anna Folkedal last Friday afternoon. Anna had been in bed about eight weeks suffering with tuberculosis. She had been ailing some time before but did not think it serious, staying in Clarion up to the time she took to her bed, and when she came home, not even her loved ones thought she had come home to die.

Anna Folkedal was born December 8, 1884, on the farm now occupied by C. Watson, two miles north east of Eagle Grove, and has spent the greater part of her life in this vicinity. Anna was kind and generous to all. She seemed to realize from the first that she would never get well and accepted her fate without a murmur, and for one so young with a resignation that few could have done. She leaves a father, mother, seven brothers and one sister to mourn her early death. Though her chair is vacant and she is missed by her loved ones she will never be forgotten.

She sleeps, but to forget
Life's care and sorrow;
She sleeps but to awaken
On the Resurrection morrow.
