Dr. James B. Fraser, 73, of 1164 Americana Court died of a heart attack Tuesday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home here and at 2 p.m. Friday at Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove.
Dr. Fraser was born in Eagle Grove, where he lived before moving to Des Moines more than 40 years ago. He retired in 1986 as a physician and had been former chief of staff at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. He was a member of the Iowa and Polk County Medical associations and the American Heart Association.
There are no immediate survivors.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

September 1, 1988James B. Fraser was born July 26, 1915, the son of Donald and Mattie Louise Bullock Fraser, at Corning, Iowa. He attended school at Eagle Grove and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1933, and received his M.D. degree from the University of Iowa Medical School in 1940.
He was united in marriage to Norma Klein of Eagle Grove on June 1, 1941 at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove.
Jim passed away at his home on August 30, 1988 after an extended illness, at the age of 73 years, one month, and four days.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Clinton Fraser of Grandview, Mo., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma, and a brother, Clinton Fraser.
Funeral services for James B. Fraser were held on Sept. 2, 1988 at 2 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. The Reverend Scott C. Hall officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
