Funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Pringle, 73, former Webster City resident who died Wednesday at the home of a daughter in Eagle Grove, will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at Kastler's funeral home with the Rev. Tompkins officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Webster City.
Mrs. Pringle had been ill for some time. She lived in Webster City until about nine years ago when she went to Eagle Grove to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Oscar Mellgren.
Mary Eleanor France, daughter of Richard and Laura Brown France, was born in Neenah, Wis., March 24, 1873 [1874]. She came to Iowa when a small girl.
On April 8, 1900 she was married to Frank Pringle. Mr. Pringle died in January, 1932.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. Ina Mellgren of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Bonnie Fardal of Dallas, Tex., and Carlisle Pringle of Webster City; a brother, Richard France of Chicago, five sisters, Mrs. Alma Klaas of Chicago, Mrs. Hattie Baldner, Mrs. Frank Fisher, Mrs. Edith Donly, all of Eagle Grove, and Mrs. Jessie Frasier of Rice Lake, Wis., seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Jon Pringle.
Mrs. Pringle was a member of the Methodist church at Eagle Grove.
Transcriber’s Note: According to the inscription on her gravestone in the Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, Hamilton, County, Iowa, Eleanor was born in 1874. 1880 United States Federal Census Eleanor M. France was 6 years of age.
