Olga Louise Halvorsen, 13, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Halverson died Thursday in a Des Moines hospital following an operation. She had been ill for several months.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Evangelical Lutheran church in charge of the pastor Rev. T. J. Severtson. Pallbearers were schoolmates of Olga's, Harold Larson, Jerry Spangler, Richard Johnson, Jerry Knutson, Leonard Larson and Paul Slalkeu. Honorary pallbearers were members of her school and confirmation classes.

The junior high school was dismissed so Olga's schoolmates could attend the funeral.

Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

OBITUARY

Olga Louise Halverson was born to the parents, John M. Halverson and his wife, Inga Halverson, July 21, 1934 at Eagle Grove, Iowa, and died at the hospital at Des Moines, Iowa, Thursday, February 19, 1948, age 13 years, 6 months and 29 days. She was baptized unto Christ September 9, 1934, and became a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church. She attended the Sunday School, and the Eagle Grove public schools, and on September 6, last, she registered with the class for confirmation instruction, which was interrupted by illness. Her parents sought repeated medical help for her. When surgery was advised they brought her to Des Moines where she died.

Olga is now survived by her parents, four brothers, Joseph, Carl, Roger and Donald, and by one sister, Irene. One sister, Hilda, died February 13, 1932, at the age of two years.

Olga was a kind, lovable and pleasant little girl, dutiful and willing both in her home and at school. She leaves many friends who will miss her.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 23 from the Wilson Funeral Home, and from the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery.
