October 6, 1885 --- May 29, 1934

Mrs. Ralph Foss, 47, died Tuesday evening at 7:30 o’clock, following a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Dorothy. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Kubitschek & Kastler funeral home.

Mabel Kimball was born Oct. 6, 1885, at Clear Lake, Iowa. She was the youngest of four children born to Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kimball. She graduated from the Clear Lake high school and later attended the State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. She taught school near Clear Lake until her marriage to Ralph E. Foss, also of Clear Lake, on June 24, 1914. They resided in Mason City for the first summer of their married life, removing to Hawarden in the autumn. In 1916 they moved to Eagle Grove, where they have since resided. One daughter, Dorothy Jean, has brought great joy to their household.

Mrs. Foss was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Eagle Grove. Her death occurred in the evening of May 29 just two months to the hour after the death of her father, W. H. Kimball. Mrs. Foss will be much missed within her own family circle, and by her many relatives and friends.

By her splendid personality and the beauty of her character she has surrounded herself with a large group of loyal friends who feel deeply her early going. She is survived by her husband and daughter, two sisters and one brother besides many other relatives and friends.
