Levi Melvin Kluge

Levi (Lee) Melvin Kluge died at the Abbott - Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on July 12, 1982 at the age of 83 years.

He was born September 15, 1898 at Eagle Grove, IA. to Ludvig and Mattie Kluge. In 1905 he moved with his parents to Astoria, Ore., and in 1909 they came to Marietta, Minn. On June 20, 1924 he was united in marriage to Ella Kravik. He traveled as an automotive representative for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Mound, Minn.

His wife Ella, died in January 1970. He was united in marriage to Marge Andrist on September 11, 1972. He had been in failing health for several months.

He is survived by his wife, Marge of Mora; three daughters, Mrs. Kaye (Kluge) Jones, Mrs. Jayce (Kluge) Holtmeyer, and Mrs. Janyce (Kluge) Hogue; one sister, Clara Margraff; two brothers, George and Henry: nine grandchildren: and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Dresser Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 15, 10 a.m., with Dr. James Gaughan officiating. Interment was at the Faith Lutheran Cemetery in Madison, Minn. Pallbearers were James Hogue, Thomas Hogue, David Hogue, Richard Holtmeyer, John Lindblom and Ed Naumann. Dresser Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
