MRS. JOSEPH MORGAN DIED SATURDAY

Mrs. Joseph Morgan died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jessie McDaniel, Saturday, May 6th. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan were among the early Wright county pioneers. Mr. Morgan died in 1902.

Obituary

Louisa Ann Floyd was born in Illinois March 23, 1853. While she was still an infant her parents moved to Iowa and settled In Hamilton county, where she lived with them till the time of her marriage to Jos Morgan in 1870.

They settled in Troy township, where they lived until 1902, when her husband passed away. She then moved to Eagle Grove, where she has since lived.

Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Morgan, four girls and seven boys, Mrs. Emma Jaque of Hinton, Okla., Mrs. Mary Baker of Woolstock, Iowa; Mrs. Florence Wickwire of Crete, S. D., Mrs. Jessie McDaniel of Eagle Grove, Iowa; Asahel of Fort Dodge; Ernest and Robert of Eagle Grove; Arthur and Roy of Latimer, Iowa, and Elsworth and Millard, who died in infancy.

Mrs. Morgan has been a member of the Methodist church since her girlhood days. She joined at Troy, where her membership has been till the time of her death, which occurred at Eagle Grove, May 6, 1922, at which time she was 69 years, 1 month and 13 days of age.

In addition to the members of her family already mentioned she leaves to mourn their loss 31 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three brothers and one sister.

The services were held in the Eagle Grove M. E. church and the sermon was preached by Rev. W. G. Muhleman from the text found in Matthew 13:43.

Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
