Margaret Lucille MacDonald, 89, of Eagle Grove, died at her home on Sunday, November 27, 2005. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with the Rev. Mary K. Green officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 with the family present at the Foust Funeral Home.

She is survived by her two children: Jerry P. MacDonald, of Eagle Grove; and Diane L. Reiher, of Phoenix, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Marnie L. Reiher, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two sisters: Pauline Weland, of Eagle Grove; and June Patterson, of Sweet Home, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul, on December 22, 1972, and a sister, Hazel Newcomb.

Margaret Lucille MacDonald was born February 8, 1916 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Archie G. and Ruby (Woodard) Newcomb. She was educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1933. On April 30, 1939, she married Paul G. MacDonald in Des Moines at the Galilee Baptist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flowers and gardening.

The Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of the arrangements.
